It’s hard to believe it’s already March! We’ve been keeping busy and so we thought we’d share just some of what we’ve been up to so far this year. Read on to find out, and then see what we’re up to next.
This week we officially launched applications for our Growth Strategies series! Growth Strategies is an 8-week course taught by esteemed entrepreneur and CEO of The Great Place to Work Institute, Michael C. Bush and based on his 8 Factors Framework.
If you know entrepreneurs who are looking to increase profitability, tighten their operations, or just find the time to think strategically about their business, send them our way and show them our Growth Strategies site.
Last week, ICA Fund Good Jobs entrepreneurs attended a half-day session of one-on-one advising designed to get support them along the path to funding, our Path 2 Cash educational offering. Entrepreneurs, prepared in advance of the session, were paired with financing experts and the half-day event was split up into two sessions and hosted at the Lorry I. Lokey School of Business and Public Policy at Mills college.
Later that evening our team joined the Red Bay Coffee team at the company's headquarters in Oakland's Fruitvale District to celebrate its new contract with ride-sharing company (and our soon-to-be Oakland neighbor) Uber. That day, the ICA Fund Good Jobs team also attended the East Bay EDA’s Innovation Awards at the Fox Theater and were excited to see alums Core Foods win an Innovation award.
Then, just this past Wednesday, ICA Fund Good Jobs investment portfolio company Back to the Roots held a product launch at Impact HUB Oakland (also an ICA Fund Good Jobs company!). They announced a two new products, and we were there to celebrate with them!
