In 2015, we were happy to partner with the Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) on a unique opportunity to fund our work. Through an innovative partnership with the SVCF and long-time philanthropic investor Woody Shackleton, we were able to invest additional dollars directly into our good job-creating companies.

Big News from our First Investment – Back to the Roots announces $10MM Series A round!

Portfolio company Back to the Roots is on a mission "to Undo Food™ and reconnect families back to where it comes from." We engaged Back to the Roots through our education and advisory services back in 2010. In 2013 we became their first and sole investor for $650K. We’ve worked together over the past six years and are proud to support the company’s growth and recent raise of $10 million.

Growth Strategies 2016 starts Friday!

Following a competitive application process, we are excited to welcome 60+ entrepreneurs from throughout the Bay Area to join Growth Strategies tomorrow!

The Growth Strategies course, taught by entrepreneur, esteemed advisor, and CEO of the Great Place to Work Institute, Michael C. Bush, is the entry point to the ICA Fund Good Jobs network and the place for actionable business growth education. ICA Fund Good Jobs at the Opportunity Finance Network Small Business Financing Forum! 

ICA Fund Good Jobs' Chief Investment Officer, Monica Edwards, and CEO Sean Murphy, are at the OFN Small Business Financing Forum in Chicago. Now in its fifth year, the #SBFF is a two-day conference for Small Business Lenders and CDFIs like ICA Fund Good Jobs to discuss how to best meet the needs of growing small businesses.

Sean and Monica are leading a discussion at #SBFF of how good jobs are good for business. The event wraps up today and you can follow along on Twitter to get the latest updates.
